This report consists of eight essays, based on lectures given at the Cold War Forum, a conference on the Cold War held in Bodø, October 7-8, 1995. Here American, British, Russian and Norwegian historians and participants in the Cold War gathered to discuss important aspects of the Cold War in the High North. The themes of the essays include the U-2 flights over Soviet territory, space reconnaissance operations during the Cold War, and the debate on the origins of the Cold War.
