| Innhold: | Sammendrag: This progress report is prepared in compliance with a contract between NVE and NTNU on the project Landslides into reservoirs- overtopping of embankment dams. The overall aim of the project was to enhance knowledge on how the safety of embankment dams is influenced by landslide induced waves on reservoirs. For this purpose, experimental study was carried out on a large-scale physical model in the Hydraulic Laboratory at NTNU.
The investigation into the overtopping discharge are promising and of importance for dam safety. In potential further studies that aim at information of value for dam safety, the objective should be to measure and evaluate the overtopping discharge. |
