A pioneer in the field of Law and Economics, Professor dr. philos. Erling Eide has been with the University of Oslo's Faculty of Law, Department of Private Law since 1980 and as of January 1, 2011, he will be Professor emeritus of Law and Economics. With «Law and Economics. Essays in Honour of Erling Eide» a number of his friends and colleagues, in Norway and internationally, have come together to pay tribute to him and mark the occasion of his 70th birthday.
