FOR THE LOWER CLAW the pattern had been different, but the results similar. After landing at Andalsnes, Brig [Frederick Morgan] had pushed inland and seized the important rail junction at Dombas. This move had been hampered only by a group of about 200 parachutists who had dropped near Dombas. Morgan's force quickly killed or captured this enemy contingent. Since he was awaiting reinforcements before commencing the envelopment of Trondheim, Morgan decided to hold his lines at Domhas.
