The regions were created using hierarchical cluster analysis. Regional homogeneity is checked by Wiltshires R-test. Mean specific flood is estimated by regression. The capacity of the method was verified by comparison to the existing formulas for estimating the design flood presented by Wingård et al.(1978) and observated floods.
