study at University of Freiburg, Germany. The assignment was defined by a
collaboration project between NVE and the Wasserwirtschaftsamt Kempten in
Germany, aimed at comparing the precipitation-runoff models used at these
institutions. A secondary part of the report describes flood frequency analyses for
Norwegian discharge series, to determine warning levels. The traineeship was
