Innhold:Sammendrag: The report describes experience from measurements of geomagnetically induced currents (GIC) in a 420 kV transformer in Mid-Norway. GIC from several minor and a few moderate solar storms have been recorded by the
GIC sensors in the period 2019 to 2021. GIC data is correlated to measurements from a magnetometer in Rørvik that measures the Earth's magnetic field. It is evident that measured GIC in the power grid correlates to rapid variations in the geomagnetic field and that parts of the power grid are susceptible to GIC. GIC data is essential for system operators in determining response to solar storms
