The article deals with attempts to regulate the Norwegian taxi industry. Over thepast thirty years there has been periodic focus on different forms of tax-relatedcrime during which counter measures in the form of regulation have been heavyin the taxi industry. Despite this the biggest complex of tax-related crimes andother forms offraud ever detected in Norway was recently uncovered in the industry. This article asks and tries to explain why it is so difficult to regulate the taxiindustry. |
