| Innhold: | Sammendrag: This example of a flood risk management plan describes the
challenges in flood risk management planning in the Norwegian-Finnish watercourse
Tana. The plan describes the new paradigm underlying the Flood Directive and
some of its potential implications. It presents the catchment area of Tana and gives
a description of the Sámi indigenous culture in the region. The plan also describes
the specific challenges related to floods caused by ice jam processes and the
possible effect of flood related climate change in the area. Different categories of
measures are suggested, including a new category of cultural and philosophical
measures. At the end, a summary of the lessons learned and further
recommendations are presented |
