In many industries, the number of newcomers as well as of bankruptcies has changed the competitive landscape. It is more difficult to anticipate new environmental forces and changes. New firms, often driven by new business models, technologies or disrupting innovations, change environments (Christensen, 2013). We have also witnessed increased market turbulence, empirically demonstrated as hyper-competition (D’Aveni, 2010). Technology is identified as one of the major forces that is changing how we organize, lead, and govern businesses and create value. This is not only a question of technology but also of changes in our society, between organizations as well as between people. At the core of the issue of technology is what technology does to us as human beings and how technology changes the way we interact.
