It reveals that digital transformation elicits diverse employee reactions, and underscores the importance of engagement and involvement. Highlighting the necessity of culture, leadership, and training, the review argues for the critical inclusion of employees in digital transformation initiatives to ensure success. Despite the valuable insights provided, there is a call for more empirical research to deepen our understanding of the employee perspective across various organizational contexts, particularly focusing on leadership and responsible transformation practices.
