Urbanization and climate change are expected to increase the frequency and intensity of pluvial flooding in the built environment by 2100. Tackling the challenges caused by extreme precipitation events is therefore important. Martineåsen, in Larvik municipality, is currently an unbuilt area in the municipality where a new neighbourhood is being planned. In order to ensure holistic stormwater management, a desirable tool for the municipality is visualizing how building plans will affect the current flooding situation. This paper describes the application of a stormwater model and illustrates how future building can influence the current storm water situation. This information is valuable for further municipal planning together with relevant stakeholders.
