Innhold:Sammendrag: Sub-daily precipitation intensities are expected to increase more than
daily intensities under climate change. The impact of this increase is evaluated using the DDD hydrological model run on a 3-hour timestep for 120 catchments based on input data from 7 bias adjusted EUROCORDEX RCM simulations. Results indicate that projected changes in the 3-hour peak flow are, on average, 50% higher than the projected change in the 24-hour maximum flow, under a high emissions scenario. Climate change allowances were accordingly found to be in a higher category in 56 of the 120 catchments. Feature selection using a Random Forest Boruta algorithm indicate that climate characteristics (e.g. changes in precipitation extremes and in winter temperatures) and catchment characteristics (e.g. flood generating process and catchment area) can be used to explain projected increases
